About Us

Trifit-XT is a coaching and race producing service specializing in endurance sports.

We create custom plans to fit your personal needs and schedule.

We also put on several unique events that will leave you with lasting memories


On the coaching side we offer the best custom training plans tailored for your specific goals!

Some of the sports we specialize in:

  • Triathlons- Sprint to Ironman distance and beyond
  • Duathlons- All Distances
  • Adventure Races- sprint to 24 hour races
  • Running events-any distance including adventure/mud runs
  • Cycling- Road racing, Time Trials, Mountain biking, and Bike Rides (MS 150, etc.)

We cater to all ability levels: From those aspiring to do their first race and finish, to others looking to win their age group, category or accomplish elite status.


The coaches of Trifit-XT work together, utilizing the same methodologies, to provide athletes of all levels a training regimen specific to their current abilities and goals. Although each coach individually contributes an area of expertise, collectively we guide the athlete to a heightened form of fitness and health. Trifit-XT provides the triathlon community a service built on integrity. Our coaches, Ben and Katie strive to do their best to help you become your best.


Services/Events

Sign up for Coaching

Athletes receive a monthly Custom training plan each month. There are unlimited adjustments that can be made for whatever reason. You also have unlimited access to your coach via email, text and phone. You receive a 20-50% discount on other Trifit-XT services (Testing, Run analysis, bike fits, and consultations).

  • Custom monthly training plan using pace/power/heart rate

Performance Testing

Through performance testing, athletes will be able to fine tune their training and dial in accurate race pace/power output. Through the test, you take a look at what is going on physiologically inside your body to gain a better understanding of what your needs are and how you can improve by dialing in your training/nutrition with optimal precision. Athletes will discover:

  • carb/fat burning ratios are for each training zone
  • Aerobic base
  • Anaerobic Threshold
  • caloric usage




Races

We have 2 days of racing for you! On Saturday we will host the epic Dirt in Your Shoe Adventure Race. Sunday we will host the Dirt in Your Shoe Duathlon. Due to the unique qualities and gorgeous venue, the Duathlon was chosen to be a part of USA Triathlon Race-cation series. Register for one or both races:

Ben has taken me in a year and a half from novice triathlete to multiple short-course podium finishes and multiple Ironman finishes. He coached me to my first IM time of 11:56:47, and then a year later helped me improve my time by almost an hour and a half to 10:29:33 at IMTX in the suffocating heat. His plans just flat out work. He is one of the best coaches in Houston and does his clients right by putting them first above himself. I could not more highly recommend Ben and the TriFit-XT team.

Thanks to my coach Katie Proko, I was able to complete my first Ironman.
